About…

There is a natural curiosity that leads me to seek answers and inspiration in the exotic as well as the mundane. My personal experiences weave their threads into my artwork… shapes, themes, colors, textures, words… they all are my language to express what flows through me. As a self-taught artist, I work in all mediums and take pleasure in experimenting with new techniques and combinations. Being an “outsider” artist has allowed me to create without limitations, led by my own intuition and drive.

My life has been a colorful ride, including leaving my home country of Germany to come to the States, two beautiful marriages, multiple careers, overcoming addictions, weight loss and change of lifestyle, a few 179 degree turns in outlook on life, a never-ending stream of amazing people, and a ceaseless passion for creative expression. There’s been countless blessings and an equal amount of challenges, all of which have always –always- led me to growth and positive shifts. I see life as a beauty-full kaleidescope that offers such a vast variety of experiences – what a thrill that I am in the driver’s seat to create my own guided tour! Stepping in the muck from time to time (OK, maybe more often than planned) usually leads to a new way of wiping it off my shoes, so why not just jump in with both feet?

What is this world exactly? An illusion? An experiment? A mission? I think all of the above and then some. And it’s too short to live it with “I can’t” and “I shouldn’t” or “What will they think?” What comes through us is pure life force, if we only let it. There is no wrong answer and no mistake to be made, we are the pure expression of creativity and all that we do and are its extension.

Use it up, wear it out, let it rip!
Give thanks and repeat. :-)
